AdventureWorks is


  • Private Training Establishment based in Avondale Auckland
  • A team of enthusiastic tutors, program leaders and contract instructors passionate about the work that we do and the changes that we make

This is what we Do:

  • Tertiary Certificate and Diploma in Outdoor and Adventure Education. Each one year full time
  • Outdoor instructor qualifications for outdoor professionals and teachers.
  • Online video-based learning for people to learn from industry experts their own pace at their own time
  • Support Outdoor Education programs and subjects in secondary schools with
  • short courses focusing on the achievement of unit standards
  • working with school Outdoor Education programs to augment what they're doing with our unit standard resources or instructional and equipment expertise
  • providing advice and guidance to Outdoor Education departments on the development and delivery of outdoor education programs
  • Support careers, gateway and transition pathways departments with the development and delivery of employability skills programs for Senior Secondary students.
  • Support the Graham Dingle foundation with the delivery of the Wilderness Adventure component of the Project K youth development program
  • Support the Duke of Edinburgh Hillary award and schools that provide the award with the Adventurous Journey section of the Gold Silver and Bronze levels

This is what we are working towards:

  • Nationwide provider of outdoor instructor qualifications
  • Increasing access to outdoor instructor training to a wider group of teachers, youth workers, social workers, volunteers and interested people through the online video based learning
  • further establishing our relationship with nzoia
  • Delivering adventure-based youth development programs through community funded sources
  • Developing our relationship with iwi and mana whenua
