Leadership Discovery (Year 7-10)
Year 7-10 students’ experience of leadership may range from none to only a taste. This programme is designed to help students explore the concept of leadership and what it may mean for them, and the opportunities that may arise with learnt leadership skills. This program is designed to inspire students to strive towards taking on leadership opportunities, particularly within a school setting.
The Leadership Discovery Programme is a one or two day training program (preferably two) that can be delivered either in school or at our challenge course based at Unitec, Mount Albert. The programme elements below will be explored and delivered through high energy experiential learning, involving Adventure Based Learning initiatives and our AdventureWorks high and low ropes course (if the programme is at the challenge course).

Being Influential Learn about your influence on others and how you can positively achieve this. Students will build skills to relate and communicate with others in a leadership context. Inner Confidence Students will gain confidence and skills for leading and following through a range of experiential learning activities. Service Learning Students will learn to serve the best interests of others, both within the school and the community. They will explore working within a team and develop an understanding of group cohesion and group dynamics. Knowing Yourself Students will learn about themselves and develop self-awareness through reflecting on participation in a group/leadership situation. Students will explore their values and how to align their behaviour with these. Discover the real you. |
Outdoor Education Camps
we support a number of schools with outdoor education camps for year 7 to 10. Our instructors are familiar with camp programming and are able to fit in with your program providing you with the skills, technical knowledge and safety that you need to be able to deliver opportunities in the outdoors.
