Leadership Training
Leadership training and mentoring to support senior students to become outstanding school leaders.
Leadership Training
Students nominated into leadership roles have proven that they have the ability to provide positive leadership for their peers. However, students in these roles often find it difficult to understand how to be a peer leader and how to work with the teaching community in a school to effectively perform in the role they have been chosen for. Another challenge they face is working with the other school leaders in similar roles. Most often the students are highly motivated and passionate about their opportunity to contribute
Get an edge
Get an Edge starts with a one or two day training course that can be delivered either in school or at our venue, based at Unitec’s Mount Albert campus. During this programme students gain a better understanding of themselves, their role and what this opportunity means to them.
This is an experiential course based on building relationships within the group through team building, problem-solving and trust activities. Students will participate in teams as well as individually, experiencing personal challenge and being supported on a challenge course.
